In January-February 2026, China's cumulative imports of Guinea bauxite increased by 21.51% year-on-year.
According to the General Administration of Customs of China, in January 2026, China imported 19.2528 million tons of bauxite, an increase of 31.21% month-on-month and an increase of 18.78% year-on-year. In January 2026, China imported 14.4381 million tons of Guinea bauxite, an increase of 27.07% month-on-month and an increase of 14.04% year-on-year. In February 2026, China imported 16.95M tons of bauxite, a decrease of 11.95% month-on-month and an increase of 17.61% year-on-year. From January to February 2026, China’s total bauxite imports reached 36.2058 million tons, an increase of 18.23% year-on-year. In February 2026, China imported 13.9831 million tons of Guinea bauxite, a decrease of 3.15% month-on-month and an increase of 30.33% year-on-year.
