On April 2nd, Omdia’s latest data shows that in the fourth quarter of 2025, China’s PC market remained roughly flat year-over-year, with total shipments reaching 11.5 million units. Among them, desktop computers (including desktop workstations) shipped 4 million units, a 35% increase year-over-year; laptop computers (including mobile workstations) declined 13% year-over-year to 7.5 million units; tablet shipments grew 10% year-over-year to 9.1 million units. Looking at the full-year performance, in 2025, China’s PC market shipments increased by 6% year-over-year to 42.1 million units. Tablets outperformed the PC category, with full-year shipments up 14% to 36 million units. As subsidies weaken and material costs (BOM) rise—especially memory costs—Omdia currently predicts that in 2026, China’s PC shipments will decline 10% year-over-year, falling to 37.9 million units.
