Direct primaries is a method used by political parties to choose their candidates for elections.

In a direct primary, all registered party members vote directly to select who will represent the party in an election.
🗳️ How it works
- Party members are registered beforehand
- Voting happens at ward or polling unit level
- Every member casts their vote
- The candidate with the highest votes wins the party ticket
