On September 4, 2017, the People’s Bank of China, the Cyberspace Administration of China, and six other departments jointly issued the “Announcement on Preventing Token Issuance and Financing Risks,” categorizing ICOs as acts of unapproved and illegal public financing, requiring the cleanup and rectification of ICO platforms and organizing the clearance and refund of ICO tokens;

On November 13, 2024, Bitcoin first broke through the $90,000 mark, and the price doubled within the year;
