According to UK Sky Sports News on March 13 local time, due to the ongoing conflict situation in the Middle East not showing signs of easing, the two Formula 1 (F1) races scheduled to be held in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia next month are expected not to take place as planned. According to the original schedule, the Bahrain Grand Prix will be held on April 12, followed by Saudi Arabia hosting the race on April 19. As of now, F1 and the International Automobile Federation have both declined to comment. UK Sky Sports News reported that officials are expected to officially announce this decision within the next 48 hours. Previously, it was reported that if these two races are canceled, F1 will not schedule replacement events in the race calendar. (CCTV International News)
