On April 17, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran issued a statement saying that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Iranian military are prepared to give a strong response to any aggression and criminal acts by enemies. The statement pointed out that the enemies' attempts to invade Iran through land and sea operations and to seize Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf have been thwarted.
