CLARITY ACT UPDATE:

JPMorgan states that discussions about the CLARITY Act are approaching a major breakthrough and are nearly complete.

Senator Thom Tillis says that the draft on stablecoin yields may not be released this week. The reason is not because the content has issues, but because they want to wait to confirm the exact timing of the "markup" first. This is the stage where lawmakers will review, amend, and finalize the bill.

Simply put, they are intentionally delaying the announcement to avoid early scrutiny. Releasing it without a clear schedule could lead to criticism, debates, and excessive scrutiny from the media, interest groups, and politicians, creating additional risks and slowing down the process. Therefore, they want to better control the timing of the announcement so that when it is released, it can proceed quickly and with fewer obstacles.
