just realized there's actually legit ways to get paid to eat and i'm kind of mad nobody told me sooner lol
like apparently you can start a food blog or youtube channel just filming yourself eating and people will actually pay you for it? mukbang is huge on twitch and youtube - some creators making serious money from sponsorships and ads. that's wild
also if you're already always on instagram or tiktok posting food pics, you could actually monetize that as a food influencer. brands literally throw money at people with decent followings to promote their stuff. even free meals and products add up
if you're good at photography there's money in that too - restaurants and food publications need professional shots for their menus and marketing. you can sell to stock photo sites or do commissioned work
and here's the one that actually sounds chill - mystery shopping. you literally get paid to eat at restaurants and give feedback. some places cover the meal cost plus pay you on top of that
the food blogging route seems like it takes the longest to build up but once you get an audience the sponsorship deals are apparently pretty solid
anyone else doing any of this? curious if the money actually adds up or if it's mostly hype
