Brazilian President Lula criticized the United States’ military strikes against Iran during an event in São Paulo on the 19th, emphasizing that countries must learn to respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Lula said, “We cannot accept some people acting as if they are the masters of the world, waking up in the morning saying they want to occupy Greenland, the Panama Canal, Cuba, or Venezuela… What the world needs is not war, but peace, education, and food.” Lula stated that the U.S. military strikes on Iran have triggered an oil crisis, causing global oil prices to continue rising and putting pressure on domestic prices in Brazil. The Brazilian federal government will closely monitor domestic fuel prices to prevent excessive fluctuations. He also called for the prompt use of relevant mechanisms within the United Nations Security Council to curb international conflicts. (CCTV News)
