#Gate13周年 Gate.io celebrates its 13th anniversary, truly a milestone worth noting. If I were to share some thoughts, they could be viewed from several perspectives:
1. Industry level: The “survivors” through cycles
In the crypto industry, surviving 13 years is very difficult. During this time, it has experienced bull and bear markets, regulatory storms, exchange collapses (like FTX), and many other major events. Gate.io has not fallen like many platforms of the same era, indicating it is relatively stable in risk control, asset reserves, and operations. My thought is: in an industry that grows wildly, simply lasting this long is a strong proof of resilience.
2. Platform level: From “niche” to “giant”
13 years ago, it was just a spot trading platform. Now, it has over 50 million users, with services covering derivatives, wealth management, mining pools, NFTs, and even AI trading. Its “long tail” strategy (launching many small coins) and commitment to proof of reserves have also attracted users seeking diversity and transparency. My thought is: quietly accumulating, building a moat over time through product breadth and longevity.
3. Inspiration for users: Trust and companionship
For early users, seeing the platform reach 13 years may evoke a sense of familiarity like an “old friend”; for new users, the 13-year history data (such as depth and liquidity) is an important reference. My thought is: in a crypto world full of speculation and short-termism, platforms and users committed to long-termism are worth cherishing.
Of course, there are also reflections: Gate.io has faced controversies like slow withdrawals and less-than-smooth user experiences. The 13th anniversary is more like a new starting point — it still needs to continuously prove itself in compliance, user experience, and technological innovation.
Overall, my thoughts are: respect and anticipation coexist. Respect for the persistence of the past 13 years, and anticipation for how to maintain our original intentions amid more intense competition in the future.
