On April 17, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps posted a message on social media saying that a Resistance Front commander revealed that a stern warning had been issued to all commercial and military vessels in the Strait of Mandeb. The warning said, "Starting from noon tomorrow, anyone intending to pass through the Strait of Mandeb must be even more vigilant than at any other time." The message said that the situation in the Strait of Mandeb is entering a new round of heightened military tension.
