BREAKING: China's crude oil production reaches a record 4.6 million barrels per day.


In the first quarter of 2026, the country's total oil output increased by 1.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching 4.4 million barrels per day.
Since 2018, China's oil production has increased by 1 million barrels per day.
Meanwhile, refining output rose by 1.1% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2026, reaching 184.3 million tons, equivalent to 14.9 million barrels per day.
At the same time, natural gas production increased by 3% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2026, reaching 68.1 billion cubic meters.
China is ramping up domestic energy production as supply disruptions in the Gulf are reshaping global energy flows.
