$ALEO Gate News reports, April 17 — South Korea's major retail group, Shinsegae Group, and U.S. AI company Reflection AI announced that they are advancing a comprehensive retail innovation project covering six core operational areas, integrating artificial intelligence into the following stages: product procurement, ordering, pricing, logistics, inventory management, and customer management. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding last month in San Francisco to build and jointly operate an AI data center. Reflection AI CEO Misha Laskin will visit Korea at the end of this month to meet with Emart, Shinsegae's flagship retailer, and discuss implementation strategies. Both parties expect that AI integration will enhance productivity through real-time product availability and dynamic pricing, optimize inventory, and improve customer satisfaction. To focus resources on collaboration with Reflection AI and the development of the AI data center, Shinsegae Group has decided to terminate discussions with OpenAI regarding AI cooperation, according to the company's statement.
