Supported by Stripe and Paradigm, the Layer 1 project Tempo has launched a feature called Zones, which provides private execution environments through permissioned parallel blockchains interconnected with the mainnet, targeting institutional scenarios such as payroll, fund management, and settlement; each Zone is operated by designated institutions responsible for transaction processing and access control, with transactions within the zone defaulting to private, while assets can still flow between the mainnet and different Zones, and operators do not control the underlying assets, with only cryptographic proofs used externally to verify validity.
