I started recording what those PFPs, membership cards, and brand collabs actually run on: is it long-term real usage, or is it just attention being poured in for a while? The more I write, the more it feels like this—when things are hot, everyone talks about “culture” and “identity”; when things cool down, all that’s left is the people still talking in the group chat. It’s pretty brutal, but also pretty real.

Recently the cross-chain bridge is acting up again, and after oracles started quoting prices wildly, everyone across the internet is “waiting for confirmation.” In moments like this, it’s like a special truth-revealing mirror: truly valuable memberships aren’t about how good the avatar looks—it’s whether you can find out what happened the first time something goes wrong, and whether you can avoid stepping into fewer traps. Anyway, the more I see those brand narratives getting louder and hotter, my first reaction isn’t to rush in—it’s to cool myself down first… for now, that’s all.
