Lately, I've been running tasks in a few L2 alleys again.
That cross-chain bridge step is actually the most nerve-wracking for me...
Honestly, the bridge just looks like a button, but behind the scenes, either multiple signatures are required and managed by several people, or an oracle feeds data.
Any failure in any link isn't something I can call a stop to.
In the past, I always thought "waiting for confirmation" was slow, but now I prefer to wait a few more minutes, at least to see if multi-signature signers change or if the oracle acts up before moving on.
When it comes to on-chain games, with inflation and studio pumping, the coin price spirals up, and the first to get squeezed out is often the cross-chain entry and exit route, making the experience go from "smooth" to "frozen."
A step I personally don't mind doing is a bit old-fashioned: for large amounts, avoid direct bridging, first do a small test run + wait for two more confirmations.
It's a bit troublesome but gives me peace of mind.
Anyway, after getting burned once, I understand...
Let's leave it at that for now.
