The Israel Defense Forces Arabic spokesperson issued a statement via social media on the 8th, saying that the IDF has demanded residents of seven communities in southern Beirut and south of the Zaharani River to “immediately evacuate,” and that the IDF will continue to carry out strikes in the area. The IDF said it continues to target and attack Lebanese Hezbollah’s military infrastructure across southern Beirut. Additionally, in another statement, the IDF said that the current ceasefire agreement “does not include Lebanon,” and that the IDF will continue ground military operations. The IDF has asked Lebanese residents living south of the Zaharani River to evacuate immediately to areas north of the river, stating that remaining in the south of the Zaharani River “will endanger lives.” (Xinhua News Agency)
