Been watching the Nasdaq bounce back strong lately, especially with all the AI momentum. The thing that caught my attention is how accessible some of these AI plays have become for everyday traders. There's this ETF called CHAT that trades under $50 per share - basically lets you grab a concentrated basket of the top AI stocks without needing thousands of dollars.

Nvidia's obviously the heavyweight here, sitting at 8.46% of the portfolio. If you've been following the AI space, you know why - their chips are basically running the entire data center infrastructure that powers modern AI. Alphabet, Palantir, Oracle, Arista Networks round out the top five holdings. These aren't random picks either. Palantir's been an absolute monster performer, up over 400% in the past year alone, thanks to enterprise demand for its AI software platforms.

What's interesting about this ETF is it's not trying to be diversified. It holds just 40 companies, all focused specifically on AI infrastructure, platforms, and software. So if you believe in the AI narrative continuing, you're getting pure exposure without all the noise of a broader index fund.

I checked the numbers - since the fund launched in mid-2023, it's returned close to 90%, crushing the Nasdaq-100's 65% gain over the same period. That's the kind of performance that makes the higher expense ratio (0.75%) actually worth discussing rather than just dismissing outright.

The catch? It's concentrated, so you probably don't want to throw your entire portfolio into it. But if you're looking to add serious AI exposure to your holdings and want ai stocks under $50 that actually give you meaningful exposure to the sector leaders, this is worth looking at. Meta, AMD, Salesforce are also in the mix - basically all the major players betting big on AI infrastructure and deployment.

For anyone sitting on the sidelines because they thought AI stocks required huge capital, this changes the equation. You can actually build a position in ai stocks under $50 and get real exposure to companies like Nvidia, Alphabet, and Palantir without breaking the bank. Just make sure it fits your overall strategy rather than being your only holding.
