This year's first international cruise ship arrives in Shanghai, with 99% of the foreign passengers on board entering visa-free.
On March 6th, the Shanghai Port International Passenger Terminal welcomed the first international cruise ship to dock at Beiwaitan this year, with over 680 foreign travelers beginning their trip in Shanghai.
The luxury cruise ship “Seven Seas Explorer” docked at the Shanghai Port International Passenger Terminal early on the 6th, marking the first international cruise ship to berth at Beiwaitan in 2026.
The cruise ship departed from the Philippines on February 28th, with Shanghai being its fourth stop.
With this cruise ship’s docking, Shanghai port is about to see a new wave of international cruise arrivals.
The Shanghai Port International Passenger Terminal is expected this year to handle up to 20 cruise ship arrivals and departures.
