Berger pointed out that the French Ministry of the Interior has launched a preventive platform that has attracted thousands of registrations, with more detailed plans to be released in the coming weeks. Data shows that since early 2026, France has experienced 41 crypto-related kidnapping cases, averaging one every 2.5 days; meanwhile, globally, such attacks increased by 75% in 2025 to 72 cases, with France leading the world with 19 cases.
