Lately, I've really been overwhelmed by the attention economy: a hot topic just goes viral, then the narrative shifts the next second, and I get itchy to follow along, only to mostly end up providing liquidity for others... I've now set a rule for myself: when I see charts like "large on-chain transfers" or "exchanges' hot and cold wallet movements" being hyped as smart money, I treat them as gossip first, and don't rush to jump to conclusions. To put it simply, wallet movements might just be changing storage or adjusting risk controls, not necessarily trying to pump or dump the market. If I really want to participate, I first check the gas fees—if they're too high, I take it as the market discouraging me. I wait until the hype cools down and the information becomes clearer before acting; anyway, the less impulsive I am, the fewer times I get burned.
