Suntory announces acquisition of Daiichi Sankyo OTC business

Mars Finance News: On April 16, it was reported that Suntory said it will acquire Daiichi Sankyo’s over-the-counter drug subsidiary, Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare. The expected acquisition amount is 246.5 billion yen. Suntory will obtain 30% of Daiichi Sankyo Healthcare’s issued shares first in June, then gradually increase its ownership stake, and plans to complete the acquisition by June 2029 to make it a wholly owned subsidiary.
