just realized how many people don't actually know what 1k means lol. been seeing it everywhere on social media and crypto stuff, but honestly it took me a while to get it too. so basically k is short for kilo which literally just means thousand. so 1k = 1,000, 10k = 10,000, that kind of thing. pretty simple once you get it.
and then there's million and billion which gets confusing for some reason? like 1 million is just 1,000,000 and 1 billion is 1,000,000,000. the jump between them is wild when you actually think about it. you see these numbers thrown around all the time on youtube views, follower counts, crypto market caps, whatever.
if you're doing anything online these days whether it's youtube, freelancing, or trading crypto, you're gonna run into 1k and these other terms constantly. honestly just bookmark this if you keep getting confused by the numbers. way easier to remember once you see it written out like this instead of trying to count the zeros every time lol
