Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Representatives from China, Argentina, and Brazil held a series of informal meetings in Urumqi, Xinjiang, for a continuous week
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning hosted a routine press conference on April 8. Mao Ning introduced that from April 1 to 7, representatives from China, Afghanistan, and Pakistan held an informal week-long meeting in Urumqi, Xinjiang. The three delegations consisted of cross-departmental representatives from diplomacy, defense, security, and other fields. The meeting discussed issues frankly and practically, with a good atmosphere, reflecting a problem-oriented, result-oriented, and action-oriented approach. China emphasized that terrorism is the core issue affecting China-Afghanistan-Pakistan relations. All three parties agreed that the Urumqi process has substantive significance and agreed to continue communication and dialogue on this matter. (CCTV News)
