CoStar Group has filed an amended complaint against Zillow, intensifying their copyright dispute by alleging Zillow continues to use tens of thousands of watermarked CoStar photographs and republish images it previously claimed to remove. The complaint details that Zillow allegedly uploaded 6,774 new infringing images after the initial lawsuit, and uses these images for its Zestimate valuation model and recommendation algorithms. CoStar is seeking a permanent injunction, substantial damages, and the complete removal of its images from Zillow’s platforms.
