The National Commodity Supply Company CONAB under the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture released March forecasts showing that the expected corn production in Brazil for the 2025/26 season is 138 million tons, a decrease of 2.89M tons year-on-year, down 2.0%; a decrease of 178k tons month-on-month, down 0.1%; it is expected that the second crop corn production in Brazil for the 2025/26 season will be 108 million tons, a decrease of 178k tons year-on-year, down 4.2%; a decrease of 828k tons month-on-month, down 0.8%; the expected corn yield in Brazil for the 2025/26 season is 6.17 tons per hectare, a decrease of 293.3 kilograms per hectare year-on-year, down 4.5%; an increase of 24.3 kilograms per hectare month-on-month, up 0.4%; it is estimated that the second crop corn yield in Brazil for the 2025/26 season will be 6.11 tons per hectare, a decrease of 391 kilograms per hectare year-on-year, down 6.0%; a decrease of 1,000 kilograms per hectare month-on-month.
