He provided tools for DDoS attacks, the kind that take websites offline, and clients from all over the world paid to have them done. He collected the money in cryptocurrencies, totally transnational stuff.

The crazy part is that he had up to 74 arrest warrants pending across European countries. The arrested hacker finally caught in Bangkok after years, his visa revoked, and now he’s awaiting extradition to Germany. I wonder how long it took to track him down, considering how structured his system was. A case of industrial-scale cybercrime, basically.
