Honestly, using a multi-chain wallet for a long time really starts to feel like stuffing drawers full of receipts: you end up with a main wallet, a “wool-cheap” wallet (scammy-ish yield/arb style), a test wallet—plus a bunch of others. Your assets are also scattered across every chain, and moving them around just to deal with all that gas makes my head spin. I’ve basically hard-divided them into three categories now: long-term holdings that never move, interaction wallets that are dedicated to doing specific tasks, and a separate set for airdrop season—like those “task platforms with anti-bot controls + a points system” that get so competitive it feels like you’re going to work. Once the job’s done, I just leave them there and don’t mix them.
Balance management is pretty basic too: on each chain, I only keep enough for about two or three transactions’ worth of fees, and then I periodically sweep the excess back to the main chain/main account—I'd rather do fewer cross-chain bridge trips. As for MEV, I’m not entirely sure, but before sending a transaction I at least check block congestion and slippage, so I don’t just force it during the busiest moments… In any case, the root of all the mess is just having too much itching to tinker.
