So I finally got around to checking out my League of Legends recap from way back in 2023, and honestly it's kind of a trip seeing all those stats compiled in one place. If you never grabbed yours, it's basically Riot's version of Spotify Wrapped but for your actual gameplay - shows you everything from your KDA to vision score to how much damage you were pumping out each game.
Getting your league recap is actually pretty straightforward if you know where to look. You just head to the Riot Games website, log into your account, then dig into Account Management and flip on Communication Preferences. Make sure you toggle that switch to receive communications from Riot and they'll send it your way. Same deal if you play VALORANT too - you get a recap for that as well.
What got me was seeing the actual numbers laid out. Like your first blood rate, your KDA, vision score - it all adds up to show you exactly where you were strong and where you were kind of... not great. I had a decent damage output but my vision score was honestly embarrassing. That's the whole point though, right? Your league recap is basically a mirror showing you what you actually accomplished versus what you thought you were doing.
The useful part is taking those insights and actually doing something with them. Instead of just scrolling past the recap, I started watching some high-level player streams to see how they approach map control and early game differently. Patch notes started making more sense too once I knew what I specifically needed to work on. It's less about chasing some perfect stat and more about identifying one or two things that would actually move the needle in your gameplay.
If you never looked at your old league recap, might be worth digging it up just to see where you were at. Pretty eye-opening sometimes.
