That was a bit of a false alarm just now: I accidentally missed a character when copying the address, so I quickly went to check on the "chain" confirmation, but the browser didn't respond for a while. I thought it had already gone away... It wasn't until later that I realized the page I was viewing was backed by an index/RPC feeding data, not the block itself talking to me. Slow node synchronization, RPC queuing/throttling, or the indexer not catching up in time—what you see as the "latest" might actually be a delayed update.

So recently, everyone has been watching large transfers on the chain and unusual activity in exchange hot and cold wallets, trying to interpret "smart money." But to put it plainly, you first need to ask: which node provided this data? How much delay is there in the index? Is there a possibility of reorganization or rollback? When I encounter critical transfers now, I at least cross-check with two different RPCs and an original transaction hash. It may be slower, but it’s better than scaring myself unnecessarily. Anyway... what’s on the chain is real; what’s displayed to you might not be immediately accurate.
