The State Bank of Pakistan lifts the virtual asset ban, licensed VASPs officially integrated into the banking system

Mars Finance reports that the State Bank of Pakistan has officially lifted its virtual asset ban, which has been in place since 2018, allowing banks to open standalone interest-free rupee accounts for virtual asset service providers (VASPs) licensed by the Pakistan Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (PVARA). Banks are required to conduct due diligence on the relevant institutions.
