Just now I was queuing in the mempool again, watching my transaction get stuck behind a bunch of "more expensive fees," and it really wears down your mindset... Basically: clicking confirm doesn't mean it goes on the chain immediately, it just goes into the queue. During congestion, you might wait half a day, get caught in the middle with repeated reordering, or if your fee is too low, no one pays attention to it. In the end, you either pay more or just let it expire.

I used to get really impatient in these situations: seeing my transaction not go through, I’d want to chase and speed it up, getting more and more anxious, and finally impulsively leverage to "buy time," only to end up paying even more in fees as a lesson. Recently, the inflation + studio + coin price spiral in chain games feels quite similar to congestion: everyone wants to run first, the chaos gets worse, and missing a second feels like being buried.

Now I force myself to wait two minutes before deciding whether to accelerate, preferring to miss out than feeding my anxiety... How about you?
