University life is actually an illusion of a bourgeois lifestyle.

Not participating in production but having money to spend. Especially at prestigious schools with advantageous locations, enjoying the prosperity and hustle of big cities at the lowest cost.
It also allows students to avoid facing issues like marriage, family, survival, and development because of their student status.
And because of the reputation of being a "prestigious university student," they feel respected.
All of these create an illusion of a bourgeois lifestyle.
After graduation, returning to their respective social classes, they realize how tough life really is.
They find that being able to spend 2000 yuan a month on eating, drinking, and entertainment is such a luxury.
They realize that the titles of 985 and 211 are just tickets to enter the workforce.
They realize that their parents are already at an age where they need to retire, and they themselves are at an age where they need to consider marriage and having children.
They realize how difficult it is to live decently.
