I saw some old PFPs start moving again when I checked the chain this morning. Anyway, changing your avatar easily boosts people's emotions. But honestly, when it comes to PFP/membership stuff, whether it's worth it in the long run isn't about how good the picture looks. It's about whether you've developed a habit: habitually using its benefits, habitually participating, habitually interacting repeatedly with the same group of people. Without that, once the hype passes, you're left with just an avatar shell.

Recently, Layer 2 is again arguing about TPS, fees, and subsidies. It seems pretty much the same to me: short-term metrics can be piled up by anyone, but in the long run, it still depends on whether users are willing to use it every day and whether project teams are willing to keep working on it. For now, that's enough. Breakfast still needs to be eaten.
