Mars Finance reports that on April 15, Boundless and XRPL Commons announced that they have completed the first native deployment of a ZK validator on XRPL. A RISC-V-based validator is now directly running on the chain, making XRPL the first public blockchain to incorporate programmable privacy as a native ledger feature with built-in compliance controls. It is reported that the two parties spent six months completing this integration and jointly designed a Smart Escrow transaction type with programmable release conditions. Developer tools and testnet environments are now ready. Smart Escrow is expected to go live in Q2 2026, requiring a valid ZK proof before fund transfer; Smart Vault will be launched subsequently, introducing KYC onboarding and sanctions screening mechanisms before each settlement, while also supporting limited disclosures to regulators. Odelia Torteman, head of enterprise adoption at XRPL Commons, stated: “XRPL has always been built for institutional finance. By introducing Boundless, we are turning confidential and compliant execution capabilities into XRPL’s native infrastructure.” The Boundless team has over five years of experience in privacy infrastructure, with its proof network currently processing approximately 400 trillion computations daily, and system availability reaching 99.9%.
