Farcaster clarifies: No tokens will be issued; the related "token discussion" is actually a forked project Hypersnap

Mars Finance reports that on April 15th, Farcaster stated, “We will not issue a token. The ‘token discussion’ circulating in the market is actually related to Hypersnap, which is a fork project of the Farcaster protocol. The Hypersnap team referred to its token as the ‘Farcaster token’ during discussions, which to some extent caused confusion among users unfamiliar with technical details. It is important to clarify that this is not a comment on the forked project itself. We simply want to prevent this speculation from causing unnecessary noise, such as bot accounts, airdrop users, and scam accounts, which can affect the overall network experience. It is important to clarify that there is no so-called Farcaster protocol token airdrop.”
