Among them, desktop computers (including desktop workstations) reached 4 million units, up 35% year on year; laptop computers (including mobile workstations) saw shipments decline 13% year on year to 7.5 million units, and tablet computer shipments increased 10% year on year to 9.1 million units. Tablet computers performed better than the PC segment, with full-year shipments up 14% to 36 million units. As the strength of subsidies weakens and material costs (BOM) rise—especially memory costs—Omdia currently expects that in 2026, China’s PC shipments will decrease 10% year on year, falling to 37.9 million units.
