In fact, I care more when the funding rates are extreme: honestly, either you go against the market and gamble on a return, or don’t show off and avoid the volatility first.
My habit is to prefer earning less, reduce my position, and wait until the funding rate returns from "ridiculous" to a range where "normal people can breathe."
Opposition positions look tempting, but once squeezed, the emotions are scarier than the market itself.
