Today, the total cross-regional population flow in society is expected to exceed 190 million trips.

According to the Ministry of Transport, it is expected that on March 13, 2026 (the 40th day of the Spring Festival travel season, the 25th day of the lunar January), the total cross-regional passenger flow will reach 193 million trips, an 11.9% increase compared to the previous period, and a 4.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
Railway passenger volume is projected to be 11.9 million trips, a 28.3% increase compared to the previous period, but a 14.3% decrease compared to the same period in 2025.
Road passenger flow (including non-operational private car trips on expressways and general national and provincial roads, as well as commercial road passenger transport) is expected to reach 178 million trips, an 11.1% increase compared to the previous period, and a 5.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
Among these, commercial road passenger volume is projected to be 34.99 million trips, a 7.3% increase compared to the previous period, and a 4.0% increase compared to the same period in 2025;
Non-operational private car trips on expressways and general national and provincial roads are expected to reach 143 million trips, a 12.0% increase compared to the previous period, and a 6.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
Waterway passenger volume is estimated at 680k trips, a 1.8% increase compared to the previous period, but a 4.4% decrease compared to the same period in 2025.
Civil aviation passenger volume is projected to be 2.23 million trips, a 7.0% increase compared to the previous period, and a 6.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
