Robot Outlook April 2 News: Yesterday, Changan Automobile officially announced the establishment of its robot company, Changan Tianshu Intelligent Robot (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. (referred to as the Changan Robot Company), with a registered capital of 450 million yuan.
According to official information, the robot company is positioned as a strategic carrier for Changan Automobile’s robot industry strategy. It will develop intelligent humanoid robot technology, expand into multiple robot industry segments, and create “embodied intelligence” innovative products and solutions. At the time the Tianshu Intelligent brand was released, it was already made clear that it would accelerate the layout of emerging industries such as humanoid robots and flying cars in the future.

Changan Automobile has already launched its first humanoid robot, “Xiao An.” The robot is 169 cm tall, weighs 69 kg, has a movement speed of 0.8 m/s, 40 degrees of freedom, and more than 2 hours of operating endurance, and can perform functions such as human-robot interaction, martial arts demonstrations, and assistance with work.
As early as September 2025, at the Technology Ecosystem Conference, Changan Automobile released its intelligent brand “New Changan, New Safety—Tianshu Intelligent,” and simultaneously officially announced that it will mass-produce humanoid automotive robots by 2028, and then gradually expand into home service robots after 2030.
In a subsequent announcement in November 2025, Changan Automobile said it had approved “the Proposal on Investment in Establishing a Robot Company.” China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd., Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., Chen Zhi Automotive Technology Group Co., Ltd., and Chongqing Changan Technology Co., Ltd., jointly invested to establish Changan Robot Company, with a registered capital of 450 million yuan.
Among them, Changan Automobile will contribute 225 million yuan of its own funds, holding 50%; Changan Automobile’s wholly owned subsidiary, Changan Technology, plans to contribute 45 million yuan of its own funds, holding 10%.
