Everbright Futures: Expectations of U.S.-Iran Ceasefire Strengthen, Methanol Reduces Positions and Declines

Iran’s state news agency reported that President Ebrahim Raisi reiterated Tehran’s willingness to end the war, but on the condition that several requirements are met. Yesterday, U.S. President Donald Trump also stated that Iran does not need to reach an agreement, and the U.S. will also cease military operations in the country. He expects the U.S. to end the war with Iran within two to three weeks. Against the backdrop of strengthening expectations for a US-Iran ceasefire, the Wednesday market sector continued to perform relatively weakly. Among them, methanol, which is more closely related to Iran, experienced a significant decline, with a maximum intraday drop of over 4%. (Everbright Futures)
