China–Switzerland Free Trade Agreement upgrade fourth round of negotiations held in Switzerland

March 2–5, the fourth round of negotiations to upgrade the China–Switzerland Free Trade Agreement was held in Switzerland. Both China and Switzerland conducted in-depth consultations on topics including merchandise trade, services trade, investment, rules of origin, trade facilitation, e-commerce, environment, and economic and technical cooperation, making positive progress in the negotiations. The China–Switzerland Free Trade Agreement was signed in July 2013 and came into effect in July 2014, playing an important role in promoting bilateral trade and investment growth between China and Switzerland. In September 2024, China and Switzerland initiated negotiations to upgrade the free trade agreement. (Ministry of Commerce)
