🚨 Extreme short position appears! Whale shorts ETH with 25x leverage, only 0.42% away from liquidation.

On-chain monitoring shows that a whale address 0x3386 is executing a very aggressive trade.
This address has opened a 6,700 ETH short position with 25x leverage, totaling about $14.71 million.
The current entry price is $2,209.38, and the liquidation price is only at $2,218.7.
In other words—
📈 As long as ETH rises by about $9 (approximately 0.42%), this position will trigger a margin call and be liquidated directly by the system.
Such an extreme position structure is uncommon in the market because:
🔹 The leverage is extremely high (25x)
🔹 The liquidation distance is very close
🔹 The position size is huge
From a trading logic perspective, this looks more like a very short-term directional bet or a play on the market’s momentary volatility.
📊 Why is this position worth paying attention to?
When such “close to liquidation” large short positions appear in the market, they often trigger two possibilities:
1️⃣ If ETH quickly surges in the short term, it could trigger a chain of liquidations (Short Squeeze)
2️⃣ If the price drops, the whale might quickly take profits and exit, creating short-term selling pressure
Therefore, such positions often act as amplifiers of short-term market sentiment.
💡 My opinion:
In the world of high-leverage trading, prices are sometimes not only determined by supply and demand but are also amplified by the liquidation mechanism.
When whales push the liquidation line so close, the market often enters a very delicate game state:
Is it a precise short attack, or will a single bullish candle wipe it out?
Next, ETH only needs a 0.4% move, which could decide the fate of this multi-million dollar position.
