CryptoWorld News reports that, according to shipping data from LSEG and Kpler, due to the unsuccessful US-Iran weekend negotiations and President Trump’s announcement on Sunday that the US Navy will begin blocking the Strait of Hormuz, several oil tankers have already avoided the area in response to a possible blockade by the US military on Monday. Specific route tracking shows that the Pakistan-flagged Shalamar and Khairpur ships entered the Gulf on Sunday, heading to the UAE and Kuwait respectively to load crude oil and refined products. Additionally, the very large crude carrier Mombasa B is currently ballasting in the Gulf, while the supertanker Fanourios I, originally scheduled to load crude oil in Iraq, turned back while attempting to pass through the strait and is now anchored near the Oman Gulf.
