Foton Motor: Near 90% year-over-year growth in new energy exports from January to February

          In January-February, China's new energy commercial vehicle exports experienced a short-term pullback, but the industry as a whole remains in a golden stage of rapid growth and structural upgrading. It is expected that the scale of new energy commercial vehicle exports will continue to grow steadily in the future.            

On April 7th, Foton Motor (600166.SH) released an investor relations activity record, which pointed out that the company’s new energy exports in January-February 2026 exceeded 1,000 units, with a year-on-year growth rate of nearly 90%. At the industry level, considering holiday factors, China’s new energy commercial vehicle exports in January-February experienced a short-term pullback, but the industry as a whole remains in a golden stage of rapid growth and structural upgrading. It is expected that the scale of new energy commercial vehicle exports will continue to grow steadily in the future.

Regarding the export performance of light trucks, the company disclosed that in January-February 2026, the company’s light truck exports exceeded 20k units, with a year-on-year increase of over 30%. It is expected that the export of light trucks will continue to maintain growth. In terms of market layout, the company is consolidating its main markets such as Latin America and increasing resource investment in markets like Africa and Southeast Asia.

For the business development plan of large and medium-sized buses in overseas markets, the company stated that these mainly rely on core measures such as developing all-new product lines, expanding channels, and market development to boost overseas sales.

In terms of overseas aftermarket layout, around the comprehensive internationalization strategy, the company proposed to build a global parts warehouse network and localized service network, using digital intelligence methods to improve operational efficiency; establish used car export business, empower local partners to develop leasing and rental services, and explore vehicle full lifecycle value; expand and deepen digital applications such as vehicle networking, fleet management, intelligent diagnostics, and remote services to go global, empowering vehicle operation and fleet management; improve new energy charging and energy supply infrastructure, and continuously deepen localized ecological construction to strengthen overseas aftermarket professional teams.
