Achieve ultimate capability! TBEA New Energy proudly announces the release of two new photovoltaic and energy storage products
(Source: TBEA Co., Ltd.)
On April 1st, the 14th International Energy Storage Summit and Exhibition (ESIE 2026) grandly opened at the Beijing Capital International Convention Center. TBEA New Energy launched two key new products defining the next-generation standards: grid-forming string energy storage inverters and 500kW string photovoltaic inverters.
The overall booth presentation centered around these two new products as technological anchors, showcasing a complete, coordinated smart energy ecosystem. Not only does this demonstrate their deep expertise and leading breakthroughs in core power electronics technology, but it also marks a new stage in their “PV + energy storage” deep integration strategy characterized by “extreme density, full-chain intelligence, and active support.” Simultaneously, the company displayed a full range of solutions covering power supply, grid, and user sides, fully demonstrating their technological strength and ecological layout in helping build a new power system worldwide.
During the exhibition, the two new products were released, targeting the core electrical energy conversion segments of energy storage systems and photovoltaic power generation, respectively. They can be regarded as the “heart” and “engine” of new energy systems. Their simultaneous upgrade aims to systematically address key industry challenges such as high-density deployment, grid-friendly interaction, and lifecycle cost reduction.
This product is a thorough overhaul of TBEA New Energy’s core energy storage system component—the inverter (PCS). Its biggest highlight is the adoption of fully intelligent liquid cooling and ultra-high power density integration design. Through innovative topology and thermal management, it achieves a smaller size and lighter weight at the same power level; compared to previous models, both volume density and weight density are significantly improved. This allows for a substantial reduction in the land area required for energy storage stations, making it especially suitable for land-scarce or retrofit projects, directly lowering initial investment and land costs.
The TE435/392K-HV not only surpasses physical compactness but also functions like a “smart heart” with “independent thinking and support capabilities.” Paired with a high-speed control platform, it possesses grid-forming capabilities, enabling seamless millisecond-level switching with grid-following modes. This means it can adapt to various grid environments from very strong to very weak, and proactively provide inertia support, fast frequency regulation, and even black start services—shifting from a simple “power transporter” to an “active participant” in maintaining grid stability. Combined with high protection levels and multiple active safety designs, it ensures ultra-high reliability under various harsh environments while pursuing extreme compactness.
On the PV side, TBEA New Energy has pushed the single-unit power of string inverters to a new global height of 500kW. The product supports 5/5.5MW large-scale PV plant sub-array designs and higher voltage platforms with DC 1600V and AC 1000Vac support, effectively reducing system line losses and balancing system costs. Compared to mainstream 330kW solutions, it is expected to bring significant initial investment savings for power plants.
“This product is better suited for weak grid environments and offers higher power generation efficiency,” said Zhou Hongwei, General Manager of TBEA New Energy Western Science Company. The new product can deliver better power generation returns for customers, applicable to industrial and commercial as well as large ground-mounted plants. The core of the “engine” uses third-generation silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductor devices, which not only improve conversion efficiency but also enhance power density and reliability. The product features an ultra-wide operating temperature range of -40℃ to 70℃ and can operate at 5000 meters above sea level without derating, demonstrating unparalleled environmental adaptability.
In terms of grid connection, it adopts voltage source control technology, capable of actively supporting grid voltage and frequency. Its power response time is within 20 milliseconds, greatly improving the response speed and support strength of PV plants to grid dispatching commands, aiding grid stability under high renewable energy penetration.
TBEA New Energy’s participation in this exhibition showcased a complete, coordinated smart energy ecosystem.
The BPS integrated AC/DC energy storage system, with its modular prefabrication, land-saving, and rapid deployment features, presents an optimal engineering solution for both user-side and grid-side energy storage.
The string inverter booster station, through “mass control technology,” achieves millisecond-level unified response for energy storage stations, improving overall efficiency.
Addressing the booming distributed market, the company also displayed a new distributed PV-storage integration solution, covering residential, commercial, and microgrid scenarios, maximizing self-use of green electricity and intelligent dispatch.
Driven by the “dual carbon” goals, the transformation to green power has become a core issue in residential and commercial sectors. To meet diversified, scenario-based smart energy needs, TBEA New Energy also showcased a new distributed PV-storage integration system solution at this event. This solution is not just a simple overlay of PV, energy storage, and monitoring devices but centers on “high-efficiency collaboration and intelligent management.” It deeply integrates three major modules to build a self-optimizing, smart dispatch “source-grid-load-storage” integrated micro-energy network.
The solution features rapid switching between grid-connected and island modes, island operation, and black start capabilities, allowing flexible mode switching based on different scenarios. Its product matrix covers from 8–150kW distributed PV inverters, 5–15kW residential hybrid PV-storage inverters, to modular commercial energy storage systems starting at 125kW/261kWh, forming a complete power segment layout.
This enables the solution to serve both energy-saving, backup power, and green power needs of residential villas, as well as high-reliability power supply for commercial buildings, industrial parks, and charging stations. It also offers customized one-stop solutions for high-load enterprises such as steel and chemical industries, addressing core pain points like load management, peak-valley arbitrage, and emergency power supply.
In the future, TBEA New Energy will continue to deepen “PV-storage integration” technology, focusing on core values of efficiency, safety, intelligence, and reliability, providing global customers with solutions covering the entire project lifecycle and all application scenarios. They will work with partners to promote clean, low-carbon energy transformation and contribute to global climate change mitigation efforts.
