National People’s Congress Deputy Zhu Huarong: By 2030, New Chang’an aims to achieve total vehicle sales of 4 million units
On the morning of March 6, the Chongqing delegation held an open group meeting. National People’s Congress representative, Zhu Huarong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Changan Automobile, said at the meeting that safety is not only the technical bottom line, but also the responsibility and commitment of Changan Automobile Group as a newly established central enterprise. Changan Automobile will use intelligent technology to shoulder this responsibility. Changan Automobile has built safety into every extreme scenario. Although they don’t drive at such speeds in daily life, in extreme testing scenarios, the car can suffer a tire blowout on the highway at a top speed of 220 kilometers per hour. In the past, this basically meant the vehicle would be destroyed and lives would be lost; now, with blowout stabilization technology and its coordination, the car can stay composed in the face of danger and brake calmly. Zhu Huarong said that in the next ten years, Changan Automobile Group will invest roughly 200 billion yuan in the intelligent connected new energy vehicle sector, and will add a technology innovation team of 10,000 more people. “Our goal is to reach revenue of 600 billion yuan by 2030. For complete-vehicle sales, we will strive to achieve 4 million units, and our efforts are aimed at 5 million units, including 3 million units of new energy vehicles and 1.5 million units overseas.” (Southern Finance)
