[Hong Kong Monetary Authority: Issues First Stablecoin Issuer Licenses to Dingdian Financial and HSBC] Caixin April 10th. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced today (April 10th) that the Financial Secretary, under the Stablecoin Ordinance, has granted stablecoin issuer licenses to Dingdian Financial Technology Limited and The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited to issue stablecoins in Hong Kong. The licenses take effect today. According to the licensees' business plans, after completing the relevant preparations, they intend to commence operations within the next few months.
