Guandian News: On April 7, Guangdong’s first relending project of “acquiring apartments to be used as affordable housing” officially launched at Foshan City’s Chancheng District, at the Greenland Splendid Plaza A3-2 building, marking a new breakthrough in the local affordable housing supply model.

According to the introduction, the Bank of Minsheng Foshan Branch provided credit support with a total amount of 250 million yuan to this project. The loan term is as long as 30 years, and the funds are earmarked for Foshan Anju Zhiye Co., Ltd. to acquire and renovate 960 apartments into affordable rental housing.

As of the end of March, the project’s first loan installment of 149 million yuan has been disbursed smoothly. Going forward, it will accelerate the acquisition and renovation of apartments, striving to put them into use as soon as possible to address the shortfall in local affordable rental housing supply.
