Abstract generation in progress

The March 6 news: Microsoft released an announcement yesterday (March 5), stating that its Bing Video Creator has been fully integrated with OpenAI’s latest Sora 2 video generation model.

Microsoft launched the Bing Video Creator service in June 2025. At the time, most online AI video generation tools on the market were limited to paid users. To lower the barrier to using video generation models, Microsoft made the feature free for all Bing users. Users only need to enter a text prompt, and the system can use the original Sora model to generate the corresponding video content.

OpenAI later released a significantly improved Sora 2 model in October 2025. Compared with the original Sora, this model has greatly enhanced controllability: it can accurately carry out complex instructions across shots, and it can more accurately maintain the coherence of the world state.

Microsoft is now upgrading the Bing Video Creator service by integrating the Sora 2 model, enabling users to directly generate videos with more dynamic motion, richer visual effects, and photo-realistic quality.

After the system upgrade, native audio features are also integrated. Users can add sound effects, voice, and background tracks to their visual prompts, thereby improving the overall audio-visual completeness of the videos.

To clearly distinguish AI-generated videos from real-shot videos, Microsoft has introduced a strict identification mechanism in Bing Video Creator. The system will automatically add a visual watermark to all generated videos, and it will also embed C2PA credentials that comply with industry standards, ensuring transparency of content provenance and traceability.

All Bing users can get 10 opportunities for “fast video generation” for free. After the fast quota is used up, users can still continue to enjoy an unlimited slow video generation service. In addition, users can also spend accumulated Microsoft Rewards points to obtain extra fast generation credits.
